A practice with a gestation of 6 months, journeying from the New Moon energies to the fullness of her pregnancy in the Full Moon's energy. In that vein, it is Jessica's desire to continue welcoming the Goddess within her by wearing her finest gown. As she desires to deeply honor the sacredness of entering our Red Tent Temple in humble service to the Goddess and nurturing the womb of our Sisterhood. Maybe you will wear something that shimmies and shakes the Goddess, your magic and inner Creatirix!

This journey through the heart center will involve meditation, mirror gazing work, affirmations, journaling followed by a brief yin yoga flow with yoga nidra.

- July: Core Choreography, Priestessed by Erin, Co-Priestessed by Brittany & Jennifer: A space to rediscover play and connect to our inner child, we will be using movement to do just this. I want to share tools that can be used as different inspirations when dancing and expressing ourselves. Choreography has been a huge path in my journey towards self-discovery and identity. To me choreography is much like a book, because just like a book is made up of many different words so are dances made up of many different movements! Dancing is such a beautiful form of expression and there are so many uses of dance in this world. Don't be afraid to let loose and truly express what your body wants to say in this Circle, know we are all there to welcome just this! Trust your sisters, trust yourselves, and let it go! We will work with a poem and inspirational music to create individual movements that will then be pieced together into dances.

We will be doing the same. We will let go of what we don't need anymore and prepare and access our new dreams and goals. This is a busy time for everyone with all the holidays so this Tent will provide an evening of focus and manifestation for the coming new year. Whether basking in the gentle sweet surrender of tenderness, undulating in sensual freedom, or a raging inferno of desire - your dance is your own! If you've ever wanted to play with fire while you dance, we will be passing orbs of fire as we dance in celebration of Soulfire - the One Fire - that unites us all! - September: Yoni Sculpture, Priestessed by Jessica: To experience this daring journey we will begin with experiential activities two weeks prior to the event. The night of, we will begin with a luscious meditation inviting intention setting to deepen our awareness and open our hearts to this new layer of erotic experience. We will intuitively sculpt however we wish to design our sacred Yoni creation. Clay provided is enough for a Yoni approximately 3" in length. As we enjoy our traditional potluck to close circle our clay Yonis will bake. I invite you to bring whatever items you may like to place in your Yoni sculpture -- use your IMAGINATION (i.e. gemstones, feathers, pubic hair, etc.). Please check to ensure the item is safe up to 270 degrees (gemstones and feathers have been ok for me but best to test them on your own to be sure). Intuitively Guided Yoni sculpting offers a tactile and visceral experience working with clay as if it were our own flesh -- shaping and molding our beautiful Yoni's from this world and beyond. It takes both imagination, Self-exploration and a desire for expansion to journey into this layer of a Woman's inner knowing.

I had the pleasure of studying with her in the 1980’s in Boulder and with several of her advanced students. Jin Shin Jyutsu is energy work that harmonizes body, mind, and spirit. The Singing Crystal bowl can place the listener/receiver into an Alpha brain wave pattern easily and quickly for a deep meditation.Quartz crystal music holds the vibration of white light, which ultimately refracts into the rainbow and acts directly on our chakras when played. In this ritual you will be gifted with 22 corn seeds. Each seed will represent a dream or a wish you would like to nurture in this next Turn of the Wheel (calendar year). 7 seeds will be gifted for the body. This could mean healing in certain areas of the body, strengthening, healthy nurturance, strong mental abilities, lots of options. 7 seeds for the heart, these seeds will be offered to serve the love we seek to give and receive. Relationship with others, ourselves, and all of nature. 7 seeds are gifted for the Spirit. You may want to support your chakras, strengthen your spiritual practice, open the third eye, learn to meditate, and so on. The last seed represents the Great Mystery. I will offer a gentle journey to seek out your hearts desire. Then we will energetically place our wishes and dreams into the bundle of corn seeds. 2014-2015
Many of our Herstorical files were lost in the transition of leadership. Listed below is the information on Tents we have been able to recover.
- November 2014: Poetry Slam by Allie H.: Allie is 17 years old and has offered to share her poetry that comes from the heart of her own experience covering topics from depression and self injury to bulimia. I SO look forward to hearing what piece(s) she's selected for us all to bear Witness to.
- January 2015: Tarot Reading for 2015, Gifted by Jennifer Kelly: Jennifer is a natural clairaudiant and clairvoyant and was so pleased when the art of Tarot found her at the age of 12. She has been reading tarot ever since for friends and family as well as clients. She established her business, Divine Insight, 10 years ago and relishes in assisting clients onto the next step in their paths. She believes that tarot is a wonderful tool to use when looking for guidance and clarity, and uses her natural gifts to aid in the process. She is available for private readings as well as Tarot parties and may be reached at divineinsighttarot@gmail.com.
- February 2015: Nourishment of Soup for the Soul, Aubrey Fennewald: presenting the Nourishment of Soup for the Soul. Aubrey has requested each participant bring their favorite soup and/or recipe to share. Aubrey Fennewald is a native of Colorado Springs, but has lived and worked in many places around the state, the country and internationally. She came back to live in the 'Springs because she could not shake the feeling that there is work for her to do here. It took her a few years of various jobs here and there as an educator and administrator in public, private, and charter schools around the city to figure out that her purpose IS actually in education (she tried to escape it, which explains why she never got "certified" to be a public school Teacher). Aubrey works in the field of education, but in a way that is finally in tune with, and honors her rebellious nature and exploratory, creative Spirit. She is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Proprius Learning Cooperative, a community for Self-Directed Learners (i.e. untraditional students who trust their gut to know what's best for themselves and who learn from their life experiences).
In her practice as a certified Reiki healer, Aubrey has recently turned her focus inward to explore effective methods for centering and grounding. In doing so, she finds herself contemplating the concept of living more "authentically", and asks 'What does that mean? What does that look like? What does it mean to be more "authentic?'. With her practice and these ideas in mind, for our February gathering, Aubrey would like to first lead us through an easy, no-commitments-necessary, five-minute meditation. After a brief dialogue on our meditation, Aubrey next would like to share a short story of a recent, revolutionary and confirming experience she lived in being "more authentic" (Aubrey is a two-time story teller for our local radio show, The Story Project). Finally, Aubrey will then lead us toward the end of the hour through Latihan, a fun and silly exercise to help us find our voice and work those lovely vocal chords. We will wrap up our session with a talking-stick circle. For our informal, friendly hangtime (and more soup-eating!), Aubrey would like to offer up her Reiki to anyone who might be open to receiving the healing energy.
